After a full charge, the SMS34102.01 runs for up to eight months without additional light. This reserve supports operation when the watch is stored, covered by clothing or exposed to limited light.

The eight-month figure describes the maximum operating reserve after a full charge. It does not represent unlimited operation in darkness. When the energy reserve is depleted, the watch must be exposed to light before normal operation can resume.

After complete discharge, expose the dial to light until the movement restarts. Continue charging before wearing the watch so that the energy reserve is sufficient for normal operation.

The solar movement includes protection functions for the rechargeable energy cell:
