There are watches that look best in a shop window. Ours do not. Swiss Military by Chrono is made for the journey, for cold mornings, for days that last longer than planned. We build timepieces for an active daily life, indoors and outdoors, at work and in leisure time. Clearly designed, robustly built, made for people who would rather rely on their equipment than on good weather.
Where the walls keep time
Our headquarters in Solothurn are located in a watchmaking building dating from 1915/1916. For decades, generations of watchmakers learned their craft here, in one of Switzerland's first watchmaking schools. When the school moved out in 2002, Chrono AG took over the building and refitted it. Since 1994, watches have been created under the name Swiss Military by Chrono that carry on this tradition. Not a marketing promise, but an address where watches have been brought to life for over a hundred years.
Swiss Made is not just a print
From the first draft to the final check, every watch is made in Switzerland. The cases contain movements from Swiss manufacturers ETA, Ronda, and Sellita, so that the watch runs like it did on the first day, even years later. Solothurn is more than just an address in the imprint. It is the place where it is decided what is good enough and what is not.
Checked before it reaches your wrist
In Solothurn, around thirty people from design, watchmaking, and marketing work on our collections. Every watch goes through the same process. Component selection, assembly, water-resistance testing, visual inspection, packaging, much of it by hand. We use stainless steel, sapphire crystal, and rubber because they withstand the demands of an active daily life. A watch only leaves the house once it passes these tests.
You have to earn the name
«Swiss Military» is a protected name. We are allowed to use it because our watches are officially licensed by the Swiss Confederation, represented by armasuisse. This is not a label, but a commitment. To authenticity, to Swiss Made, to a five-year warranty. We prefer to show that we stand for it rather than just claiming it.

A wonderful and very comfortable watch. I love this one. The display is crips an clear. The finish is perfect. Bottom glass display shows insides of the watch. Crown is screwed down to seal it. Helium valve present. Lunette turns smooth. The belt is very nice and the closing got a counterbar to keep it safe in place. Definitley recommended.

The Quality is just Perfect.
Titanium case, ceramic bezel and sapphire glass. The watch is so light that I don’t feel it on my wrist at all. I like it a lot. It would have been perfect if the lug to lug length was 2-3 mm shorter. But it is very nice as it is. Maybe the best titanium watch you can buy at this price.
